The rope Royal rochefort

All different sorts of ropes for the King’s ships were made here...


A jewel from Rochefort’s naval shipyard, it was the longest construction in Europe in the 17th century.  This magnificent monument is the most visited in the area.  The Centre International de la Mer (international sea centre) is also based here.
