The lighthouse of CHASSIRON

Colossal lighthouse measuring 46 metres high


Built in 1836 in stone from Crazannes, Chassiron was originally completely white.  But as the fishermen confused it with the lighthouse on the Ile de Ré, black stripes were added in 1926.

Brave the 224 steps which lead you to breathtaking views !
